LCAs

Now that my Lower Control Arms have been removed, it's time to clean them up and paint them.

Blasted off the end bolts with an impact wrench.

Removed the crappy rubber bushings. (to be replaced with Poly later)

Wire brushed the crap out of them and picklex20'd.

One of the guys in my local Z car club hit me with a tip about this paint.

It is supposedly really durable and can be applied to almost anything.

Few coats down on both sides.

I really dig the finish. Looks badass, and dries hard like a plastic almost.

Sweet.

  1. Damn, you're sure getting busy with the rebuild! I bet the suspension's gonna look sweet when finished! Gotta love a rebuild where every part is getting taken care of. Great work, man!

  2. Wow man thanks! I was planning on replacing the LCAs with the T3 ones but couldn't swing it and still get all of my other suspension upgrades.

This refinishing cost me $6. lol

  3. Well most people wouldn't even bother to repaint the suspension bits, but in my opinion it's these details that really count. No matter if you spend $6 or $6k, it's that you actually bothered to do it properly imho. :)
